XRHealth Partners With Motion Analysis Platform Kemtai

XRHealth, a company specializing in immersive therapeutics, has partnered with Kemtai, an AI-enabled computer vision exercise coaching platform, to integrate motion analysis technology into XRHealth’s physical therapy experiences. XRHealth provides medical extended reality (XR) solutions targeting both physical and cognitive health, including immersive environments designed to reduce pain during medical procedures and support occupational and physical rehabilitation. The company also offers virtual treatment environments for behavioral therapies addressing PTSD, stress, addiction, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Kemtai’s platform uses AI-powered real-time tracking and assessment of body movements via standard device cameras, delivering immediate feedback and corrective guidance to patients. Through this partnership, users of XRHealth’s immersive therapies will benefit from real-time performance scores, clinician-guided instructions, and motion coaching, enhancing rehabilitation for orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions. Mike Telem, Kemtai’s cofounder, highlighted the collaboration’s potential to combine immersive motivation with precise motion coaching, all accessible from home.

This alliance aligns with XRHealth’s broader strategy of expanding its digital therapeutics capabilities through acquisitions and AI integration. Earlier this year, XRHealth acquired RealizedCare, a virtual reality digital therapeutics company formed in 2023 from the merger of VR behavioral health platform BehaVR and chronic care management company Fern Health, integrating its offerings into XRHealth’s platform. The company also acquired NeuroReality, a VR cognitive training platform, including its flagship product Koji’s Quest, and has been incorporating AI to enable clinicians to customize therapeutic environments and generate AI-powered avatars for enhanced patient interaction. Additionally, XRHealth acquired Amelia Virtual Care, a VR mental health platform, which has since been withdrawn from direct-to-provider services.
