Zocdoc and Yelp Partner to Enable Real-Time Healthcare Appointment Booking

Zocdoc has announced a partnership with Yelp to embed real-time healthcare appointment booking directly into Yelp’s platform, marking a shift in how patients convert search intent into care access. The integration enables users to move from searching for providers to scheduling appointments without leaving the Yelp environment.

The feature is now live on Yelp’s iOS application, where users can book appointments directly from provider business pages or through Yelp Assistant, the company’s AI-powered chatbot. By selecting “Book now” or “Book appointment,” patients can view real-time, in-network availability and complete scheduling through a secure Zocdoc booking flow. Expansion plans include availability on Android and desktop platforms later this year, along with broader rollout of booking functionality within Yelp Assistant.

Each week, Yelp processes millions of healthcare-related searches, but historically these interactions did not translate easily into scheduled care. The partnership addresses this gap by embedding transactional capability at the point of discovery, aligning patient intent with immediate access.

From a provider perspective, the integration is designed to convert high-intent demand into confirmed appointments without requiring additional workflow changes. Scheduling is handled through existing electronic health record systems or via Zocdoc, enabling providers to optimize capacity and reach new patient populations.
