Connected but Not Integrated: What's Next for Scaled Health-System Interoperability?

*HLTH 2026 - TICKET REQUIRED | Applications approved by the Sponsor

About this Meeting

Health systems have spent years connecting applications and enabling data to move across increasingly complex technology environments. But as technology estates consolidate, AI becomes embedded into workflows, and health systems seek to reduce the burden of point solutions, is traditional interoperability still enough?

This executive roundtable will explore how organizations can balance openness with technology consolidation, enable more seamless clinical workflows, and determine what technology partners must do differently to contribute to an increasingly scaled and connected healthcare ecosystem.

Co-hosted by HLTH and Smith+Nephew, this session will bring together senior health-system leaders across nursing, clinical informatics, digital transformation, IT and clinical operations to discuss what the next generation of interoperability should look like.

The goal: rethink interoperability beyond data exchange and explore what it takes to build a more integrated, adaptable health system that works for both the people delivering care and the organizations supporting them.
