Since 2020, telehealth has become a digital front door to the healthcare system for many people, but the journey from recognizing a need for care to receiving appropriate treatment remains fragmented. Bespoke direct-to-patient models have the potential to simplify and improve that journey, but translating the concept into an effective, scalable strategy in acute indications comes with its own challenges.
This roundtable, co-hosted by HLTH and Vertex, will bring together leading telehealth organizations in a peer-to-peer conversation to explore how a DTP strategy can be structured to improve access to care for acute and chronic pain. The discussion will examine the unique dynamics impacting direct-to-patient strategies in acute indications, the role telehealth can play in connecting patients to appropriate care for their needs, and which other features need to be in place for pharmaceutical companies to create a direct-to-patient model that is both patient-centric and sustainable.
