Automated Virtual Care platforms in Health Systems.

About this Meeting

As a consequence of the pandemic, virtual care platforms have gained traction as a way to ensure care delivery. But beyond the typical use of e-visits, telemedicine or remote patient monitoring, there is a great potential in introducing automation in virtual care platforms to get better asynchronous virtual care and improved clinical decisions (e.g automated triage to higher levels of care). How can we leverage the different data sources from patients (i.e EHR, wearables and other sensors, PROs, etc) to make automated decisions? Some healthcare organizations have opted to integrate these automated virtual care platforms as a way to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs, but what are the main challenges for healthcare providers to implement these solutions? In this meeting we will dive into the potential of enabling automation in virtual care solutions, we will look at some real-world applications in health systems and the challenges to seamlessly integrate these platforms with providers’ workflows.
