About this Meeting

GLP-1s have transformed the treatment of obesity and metabolic disease, delivering levels of weight loss and clinical benefit that were difficult to achieve with previous interventions. As adoption grows, however, attention is increasingly shifting beyond the medication itself to the wider care model patients need around it.

Medication alone does not address every aspect of long-term metabolic health. Nutrition, physical activity, muscle preservation, behavioural support, ongoing monitoring, and patient engagement can all influence outcomes. Questions also remain around adherence, treatment discontinuation, weight regain, and how patients should be supported if they transition off therapy.

At the same time, payers and employers are navigating the economics of providing long-term access, while pharma, digital health, nutrition, and consumer health organizations are developing new services around the patient journey. This creates a broader question around who should ultimately own and fund the care ecosystem surrounding GLP-1 treatment.

This roundtable brings together leaders across pharma, payers, employers, metabolic health, nutrition, digital health, and consumer health to explore what the next generation of GLP-1 care should look like and how organizations can build sustainable models that deliver value beyond the prescription.

Join us to discuss:

  • What does an effective long-term care model around GLP-1 treatment actually need to include?

  • Who should own and fund nutrition, behavioural support, monitoring, and other services surrounding the medication?

  • How should healthcare support patients through adherence, treatment discontinuation, and potential weight regain?

  • As GLP-1s become part of long-term chronic disease management, what roles should pharma, payers, employers, and digital health partners play?
