Many oncology patients have to deal not only with the tumor, but also with multiple comorbidities, especially in types of cancer strongly related to lifestyle (e.g. lung cancer). This is usually forgotten by the care team when defining their treatment program, which could potentially lead to a worse prognosis for these patients. Some patients will also develop new comorbidities during cancer treatment (e.g. anxiety, depression, etc) and cancer survivors have a higher incidence of specific comorbid conditions (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, etc).
How can we use Digital Health solutions to address the comorbidities along the journey of oncology patients?
Join this meeting to discuss with other senior leaders the following:
- What are the most common comorbidities in oncology patients? Which ones are being addressed? What are the unmet needs that could be addressed by digital health solutions?
- Where in the patient journey is the biggest opportunity for digital health companies addressing comorbidities in oncology (e.g. pre-treatment program definition, during treatment, after survival)?
- Real examples of digital health products successfully managing comorbidities in oncology & Results so far (improved QoL, increased survival, other).
