ChartSpan Acquires Validic to Expand Remote Patient Monitoring Capabilities

ChartSpan has completed its acquisition of Validic, a healthcare technology company specializing in personal health data integration and connected device infrastructure. The acquisition brings together ChartSpan’s care management services with Validic’s remote monitoring and data aggregation capabilities, creating a unified platform designed to support more continuous and proactive patient care. Financial backing for the transaction was led by BIP Capital, and the combined company will continue operating under the ChartSpan brand while expanding its reach across providers, health systems, payers and digital health organizations.

The deal addresses a longstanding challenge in value-based care: the gap between periodic patient interactions and real-time insight into a patient’s health status. Traditional chronic care management and advanced primary care management programs often rely on scheduled outreach and episodic engagement, leaving clinicians with limited visibility into changes occurring between visits. By incorporating Validic’s infrastructure, ChartSpan gains access to a platform that can collect, normalize and integrate data from more than 700 consumer and clinical health devices. This allows care teams to continuously monitor key health metrics such as blood pressure, glucose levels, weight and activity patterns, enabling earlier interventions when risks emerge.

A major benefit of the acquisition is the convergence of remote patient monitoring with care management services. Rather than treating these functions as separate programs, the combined platform creates a more connected care model where biometric data can directly inform outreach, care coordination and clinical decision-making. ChartSpan’s care teams can use real-time alerts and longitudinal patient data to identify deteriorating conditions sooner, potentially reducing emergency department visits, hospitalizations and avoidable healthcare costs. The integration is also designed to fit within existing clinical workflows and electronic health record systems, minimizing operational disruption for healthcare organizations.

Beyond provider groups, the acquisition significantly expands ChartSpan’s addressable market. Validic’s technology has been widely used by health plans, digital health companies, life sciences organizations and healthcare innovators seeking access to standardized patient-generated health data. The combined platform can support population health initiatives, decentralized clinical trials, real-world evidence collection and next-generation digital health applications. By pairing large-scale data infrastructure with clinical services, ChartSpan is positioning itself as a broader healthcare enablement platform capable of supporting multiple stakeholders across the care continuum.

Overall, the acquisition reflects growing demand for healthcare solutions that combine remote monitoring, care management and connected data ecosystems into a single offering. As healthcare organizations continue shifting toward value-based models, the ability to translate continuous patient-generated data into timely clinical action is becoming increasingly important. ChartSpan’s acquisition of Validic represents a strategic effort to build that capability at scale and move care delivery from reactive management toward continuous, data-driven intervention.
