Flagler Health has raised $50 million in Series B financing to expand its artificial intelligence platform for musculoskeletal (MSK) healthcare practices across the U.S. The latest investment brings the New York-based company’s total funding to $63 million.
Flagler provides an AI platform designed to integrate with healthcare providers’ existing electronic medical record systems. The technology operates in the background and does not require clinicians to access a separate login, with the aim of incorporating automation into existing clinical workflows.
The platform coordinates clinical and administrative activities across the patient journey, including triage, care management, billing and patient communications. Flagler says its technology has been trained using a large dataset of MSK patients and is intended to address operational pressures affecting specialty practices.
"MSK is where the healthcare system’s dysfunction is most visible," Albert Katz, CEO of Flagler Health, said in a statement. "Shrinking reimbursements, administrative overload, inefficient triage — I watched it destroy clinician morale and clinic margins at the same time."
Flagler cofounder and chief medical officer Dr. Leon Anijar said the company is seeking to improve patient outcomes without creating additional work for healthcare providers. "With AI, that’s no longer wishful thinking," Anijar said. "Flagler makes the patient experience and the physician experience work together instead of against each other."
The financing comes amid continued investment and consolidation in the digital MSK market. Sword Health recently introduced its AI-powered physical therapy platform within Portugal’s National Health Service and acquired digital therapeutics company Kaia Health for $285 million in January. Sword raised $40 million in 2025, bringing its total funding to $380 million at a $4 billion valuation.
Hinge Health, another digital MSK provider, raised approximately $437.3 million through its initial public offering in May 2025. Hybrid MSK care provider Vori Health raised $53 million in a Series B round two months earlier.
Flagler plans to use its new capital to increase adoption of its platform among MSK practices nationally as providers continue exploring AI for clinical and administrative workflows.
