Klick Health has acquired Oxford PharmaGenesis, marking its third takeover in 18 months and extending its international reach across healthcare communications, medical affairs and market access.
The Toronto-based agency, founded in 1997, had avoided acquisitions for much of its history before entering the M&A market in early 2025. Its first deals included the purchase of Peregrine Market Access and the Singapore operations of Ward6. Later that year, Klick received growth investment from Linden Capital Partners and GIC to support the expansion of its services and operations.
The acquisition of Oxford PharmaGenesis is Klick’s largest transaction to date. Oxford PharmaGenesis is a U.K.-based healthcare communications consultancy with more than 500 employees across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The company brings expertise in medical affairs, market access, oncology, rare disease, real-world evidence, and health economics and outcomes research.
Klick has positioned the transaction as a way to deepen its scientific capabilities while giving Oxford PharmaGenesis access to its medical, creative and digital services. The companies’ combined operations are expected to support work across a wider range of healthcare communications needs, including evidence generation, scientific engagement and market access strategy.
Geographic expansion was also a central factor in the deal. Following the acquisition, Klick has 12 offices across North America, the U.K., Australia, Brazil and Singapore. The expanded footprint reflects a multiyear international growth strategy that began in 2022, when Klick announced plans to open offices in Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin America.
Klick opened a Singapore hub in 2023 and later strengthened its presence there through the Ward6 acquisition. Oxford PharmaGenesis adds offices in several U.K. cities, as well as operations in Melbourne, Australia, and the U.S.
The transaction comes as both companies continue to receive external industry recognition. Klick recently won health agency awards at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, including honors in the healthcare agency, healthcare network and independent health agency categories.
