Metriport Raises $26M to Expand Open-Source Clinical Intelligence Platform

Metriport has raised $26 million in new funding to expand its open-source healthcare data infrastructure and point-of-care clinical intelligence capabilities. The round was led by TJ Parker, General Partner at Matrix, with participation from ARTIS Ventures and Y Combinator, bringing the company's total funding to $28.4 million. Metriport aims to address fragmented patient data by giving clinicians faster access to complete medical histories across different healthcare organizations.

The platform connects with major health information exchanges and brings together records from hospitals, pharmacies, outpatient clinics and other healthcare sources. Its technology matches, deduplicates and standardizes fragmented clinical information into a unified, searchable data model. Healthcare organizations can access the resulting records through a single API, integrate them into cloud data warehouses or surface them directly within existing electronic health record workflows.

Metriport also adds an intelligence layer to this infrastructure through real-time clinical alerts and AI-powered medical record summarization. Instead of requiring clinicians to manually search through extensive patient histories, the platform can identify and summarize relevant information at the point of care. The company says this can reduce unnecessary testing and help clinicians make faster decisions based on records that might otherwise take days or weeks to retrieve manually.

The technology is already being used by healthcare organizations including Amazon One Medical, Sollis Health and Color Health. At Sollis Health, for example, clinicians use the platform to retrieve outside imaging and procedure histories during patient encounters, helping them incorporate information from previous care into immediate clinical decisions.

Following its recent HITRUST r2 certification, Metriport plans to use the new funding to further develop automated chart summarization and agentic AI workflows for clinical teams. The company is positioning its open-source approach as an alternative to traditional proprietary interoperability platforms, combining healthcare data exchange with AI tools designed to turn fragmented records into actionable clinical intelligence.
