PwC US and Zyter have announced a strategic collaboration focused on helping healthcare payers and providers manage total cost of care through AI-enabled clinical and administrative workflows. The initiative combines PwC’s healthcare consulting and transformation capabilities with Zyter|TruCare’s Vertical AI Execution Platform and clinical services.
The companies are targeting challenges including rising medical costs, administrative overhead, workforce constraints and fragmented healthcare data. Their approach is designed to move beyond technology modernization by redesigning operational processes and embedding governed, auditable AI into everyday workflows.
Zyter’s platform operates across existing systems of record, including claims platforms, electronic health records and customer relationship management systems. Its Zyter Symphony agentic AI orchestration engine can automate multi-system processes while applying organizational policies and maintaining auditability.
Targeted workflows include utilization management, care management, prior authorization review, appeals and grievances, and care coordination. Modular APIs enable the technology to connect with existing payer and provider infrastructure, including Zyter’s TruCare platform and third-party systems, while accessing clinical and financial information.
PwC will contribute operational assessments, operating-model redesign, analytics governance and change-management capabilities. The companies intend to link workflow automation and process redesign with measurable reductions in medical and administrative costs.
The collaboration reflects a broader challenge facing healthcare organizations that have invested in cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems and individual digital tools but continue to rely on manual or reactive processes for important clinical and administrative functions. PwC and Zyter are positioning workflow execution and orchestration as the next stage of these modernization efforts.
