RadNet Makes $269M Bet on AI with DeepHealth’s Acquisition of France’s Gleamer

RadNet, one of the largest outpatient imaging providers in the United States, has agreed to acquire Paris-based radiology AI company Gleamer for up to €230 million ($269 million) in an all-cash deal. Gleamer will be integrated into RadNet’s digital health subsidiary, DeepHealth, creating what the companies describe as the largest provider of clinical radiology AI solutions globally, spanning MRI, CT, X-ray, mammography, and ultrasound.

Gleamer specializes in automating routine imaging workflows—particularly plain-film X-rays, which account for roughly 25% of RadNet’s imaging volume. Its cloud-based AI tools support automated triage and draft reporting across musculoskeletal, breast, lung, and neurologic indications. By pre-populating structured reports for radiologists to review and finalize, Gleamer shifts clinicians from manual documentation to high-volume oversight, improving efficiency without compromising accuracy.

The acquisition also strengthens RadNet’s financial and operational profile. Gleamer operates a high-growth SaaS model, with annual recurring revenue expanding at a compound rate exceeding 90% from 2022 to 2025, and is projected to reach approximately $30 million ARR in 2026. The company currently holds multiple FDA clearances and CE marks across more than 25 clinical indications and serves over 700 customers in 44 countries.

By deploying Gleamer’s automation tools across its own imaging centers, RadNet expects measurable productivity gains and cost efficiencies by the third quarter of 2026. The transaction underscores a broader industry shift toward embedding AI directly into high-volume, routine workflows where operational impact can be demonstrated at scale.
