SandboxAQ is bringing its Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) to Google Cloud Marketplace, making its scientific AI tools more accessible to researchers working in materials science and drug discovery. The rollout will begin with AQCat, a model designed to support catalyst and materials research, followed by AQPotency, which focuses on identifying promising drug candidates. By offering the models through Google Cloud, SandboxAQ aims to allow scientists to access advanced computational capabilities through familiar AI interfaces without requiring specialized software or infrastructure.
Unlike conventional generative AI models, SandboxAQ’s LQMs combine scientific equations with real-world laboratory data to perform quantitative calculations tailored to complex research problems. AQCat is designed to estimate how strongly molecules bind to catalyst surfaces, helping researchers prioritize materials before investing in costly simulations or laboratory experiments. AQPotency, meanwhile, will assist drug discovery teams by evaluating large numbers of potential compounds and ranking those most likely to interact effectively with disease-related biological targets, helping accelerate early-stage therapeutic development.
The partnership builds on SandboxAQ’s broader strategy of integrating scientific AI into mainstream cloud platforms and research workflows. It follows the company's recent expansion of AI models for pharmaceutical research and reflects growing collaboration between AI developers and cloud providers to support life sciences innovation. By combining Google Cloud’s AI ecosystem with SandboxAQ’s domain-specific models, the companies aim to give researchers easier access to specialized computational tools that can speed discovery while reducing the technical barriers traditionally associated with advanced scientific modeling.
