STARFIRE Launches Agentic AI Platform to Streamline Life Sciences Commercialization

STARFIRE has announced the launch of its agentic commercial intelligence platform, designed to support pharmaceutical companies in accelerating therapy commercialization through automated, AI-driven workflows. Backed by Redesign Health, the platform focuses on streamlining complex processes across value and evidence generation, market access, and commercial strategy.

The system deploys domain-specific AI agents that integrate into existing pharmaceutical workflows, enabling teams to conduct analyses more rapidly without reliance on traditional consulting engagements. STARFIRE stated that its platform has been developed over the past year and is already in use with pharmaceutical client teams.

Key capabilities of the platform include:

  • Designing and executing large-scale patient journey analyses across multiple cohorts, producing reproducible code and publication-ready outputs

  • Developing cost, outcomes, and budget impact models tailored to healthcare organization needs

  • Identifying intervention points across care pathways, including physician engagement and patient support opportunities

In addition to generating analytical outputs such as structured datasets and data tables, the platform delivers executive-ready presentations and recommendations. Its agentic architecture enables multi-step workflows to be executed end-to-end, reducing administrative burden and accelerating insight generation.

Robert Nagel, Founder and CEO of Starfire, said, "The traditional consulting and analytics model in pharma is built around slow, project-based engagements that often struggle to keep pace with today's demands of commercial teams. Starfire is designed to give stakeholders direct access to the insights and analytical capabilities they need, when they need them. With our trusted partners in the industry, we believe this work can help redefine how pharma organizations generate insight, move faster, and deliver value for patients."

Pharmaceutical companies often spend between 18 and 36 months conducting commercial and market access analyses required for therapy launches. Analysts may dedicate up to 80% of their time to data preparation, while individual studies can take 8 to 16 weeks and require significant consulting resources. The global life sciences consulting market exceeds $34 billion, reflecting the scale of these activities.

STARFIRE stated that its platform compresses these timelines into hours or days, enabling faster iteration and more timely decision-making across cross-functional teams.

Patrick McDonagh, Managing Director of New Ventures at Redesign Health, said, "Transforming how the life sciences make sense of data requires a rare combination of domain expertise, technical insight, and market understanding. Rob brings this perspective through a career spent advising life sciences organizations, building a machine learning patient analytics company before the current wave of AI and more recently scaling a leading healthcare data and technology platform. This experience uniquely positions him to lead Starfire in reshaping how pharmaceutical companies bring therapies to market, meet patients where they are, and improve lives."
