California-based diagnostics startup Simple HealthKit has announced a partnership with Walmart to offer their home diagnostic test kits for diabetes, sexual wellness, and respiratory health on the retail chain's website. By collaborating with Walmart, Simple HealthKit aims to provide customers with easy access to their comprehensive range of tests.
The test kits offered by Simple HealthKit cover various health concerns. Their sexual health test kit can accurately detect gonorrhoea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis. Additionally, their respiratory test is designed to identify influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), while their diabetes-focused test helps individuals identify markers associated with Type 2 diabetes.
To utilise these tests, customers can conveniently order them through Walmart.com. The process involves physician oversight, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the results. After receiving the test kit, customers can perform the tests in the comfort of their own homes. Once the sample is collected, it is sent to a Simple HealthKit lab. Within a swift 24-hour turnaround time, customers will receive their test results.
In cases where abnormal results are detected, Simple HealthKit will connect customers to a care provider, who will offer free follow-up care. This ensures that individuals receive the necessary support and guidance to address any health concerns identified through the tests.
Staci Cochran, Vice President of Health Merchandising at Walmart, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We are excited to welcome Simple HealthKit to Walmart and provide customers a convenient way to assess their health at an everyday low price." Cochran emphasised that this partnership reinforces Walmart's commitment to empowering customers to be proactive about their health and improving accessibility to wellness products and services.
By teaming up with Walmart, Simple HealthKit aims to reach a wider audience and make their comprehensive diagnostic tests more readily available to individuals seeking a convenient and affordable approach to monitoring their health.
