Wheel and b.well Connected Health Partner to Launch AI-First Virtual Care Platform

Wheel and b.well Connected Health have announced a strategic partnership aimed at helping healthcare organizations accelerate the development of AI-driven, consumer-focused care experiences without having to build the entire infrastructure themselves. The collaboration combines b.well’s consumer health data and interoperability platform with Wheel’s Horizon virtual care infrastructure, which provides the clinical delivery layer needed to translate health insights into real-world care. Together, the companies are targeting AI-native healthcare firms, retailers, payers, life sciences companies and consumer health brands looking to compete in a rapidly evolving digital healthcare landscape.

The partnership is designed to address a common challenge in healthcare: while organizations increasingly have access to data, AI tools and consumer engagement platforms, those systems often remain disconnected from actual care delivery. By integrating health records, AI-enabled insights and clinical workflows into a unified infrastructure, the combined platform aims to support smarter intake, care routing, prescribing, pharmacy coordination and follow-up. The goal is to create a more seamless patient journey where consumer-authorized health information can directly inform clinical action and ongoing care management.

Initially, the combined offering will be available through Wheel Clinic, which currently powers virtual care services on Walmart’s Better Care Services platform. The infrastructure supports a range of care models, including GLP-1 programs, women’s health, urgent care and cardiometabolic services. More broadly, the partnership reflects a growing shift toward AI-first and consumer-centered healthcare models, where interoperability, digital access and integrated virtual care are becoming essential components of how healthcare is delivered and experienced.
