XRHealth Acquires Innerworld to Expand Virtual Therapeutic Care

XRHealth has acquired Innerworld, a virtual mental health platform built around immersive, community-based support, as part of its strategy to broaden its medical extended reality services. XRHealth’s platform currently offers virtual and augmented reality environments addressing physical, cognitive and behavioral health needs, including tools designed to reduce procedural pain, support occupational and physical rehabilitation, and facilitate therapy for PTSD, stress, addiction and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Innerworld contributes a community of more than 120,000 users globally and brings a proprietary Cognitive Behavioral Immersion approach. Its platform supports over 100 weekly events, provides 24/7 access to trained mental health facilitators, hosts guide-led and private groups, and offers in-app journaling. These capabilities will be integrated into XRHealth’s ecosystem. The company stated that the acquisition allows it to deliver a comprehensive stepped care model incorporating peer support and group therapy within its virtual care environment.

Dr. Noah Robinson, founder of Innerworld and a clinical psychologist, will join XRHealth as chief clinical officer. Commenting on the acquisition, XRHealth CEO Eran Orr said, “Bringing Innerworld into XRHealth allows us to dramatically expand access to immersive mental health therapeutic intervention. Innerworld has built a powerful community model, and we're excited to combine that strength with XRHealth's clinical innovation to deliver meaningful care at scale.”

The acquisition builds on a series of transactions that have expanded XRHealth’s therapeutic capabilities. Earlier in 2025, XRHealth acquired RealizedCare, a digital therapeutics company formed in 2023 through the merger of BehaVR and Fern Health. RealizedCare brought chronic pain management tools, wraparound virtual services, and a triage capability intended to support personalized care pathways. In 2024, XRHealth integrated NeuroReality, adding Koji’s Quest and other cognitive training assets to its portfolio. Its acquisition of Amelia Virtual Care in 2023 provided VR-based tools for mental health professionals, though the offering has since been withdrawn from the direct-to-provider market.

These strategic additions complement XRHealth’s ongoing development of AI-enabled transitions across therapeutic settings and follow several years of funding activity. The company raised $6 million in 2024 with participation from Asabys Partners, NOVA Prime Fund and existing investors. Previous rounds included $10 million in 2022 to advance metaverse-based treatment capabilities, $7 million in 2020 and a $450,000 grant from the Israeli Innovation Authority.
