The Agenda - coming up this week at HealthXL

Every week, HealthXL communities connect to break down some of the major challenges and opportunities in digital health. If you are interested in joining any of these meetings, just click through the link to request access.

However, even if you can't make a meeting, keep an eye out for the key takeaways, which will be published later this week.

In the last few years, the use of digital measurement technologies to report the outcomes of clinical trials is increasing. However, there are still a lot of questions to be addressed before this becomes the norm. On Tuesday, 3 May, the HealthXL Clinical Trial Innovation community will meet to examine some of those key questions and look at the important factors to consider when selecting the right digital measures to report the outcomes of a clinical trial.

Moving from using digital within trials, to trialling digital, on Wednesday 4 May, we are also holding a masterclass on how to design a clinical trial for your digital health product. Proving clinical efficacy is one of the biggest challenges for digital health companies, as  it is key to getting buy-in. Led by Suzanne Clough, the chief medical officer at AmalgamRx, we will look at how to design trials for digital health tools so they are rigorously validated and regulated.

On Wednesday our Digital Health in Oncology Community will be holding a virtual networking event, where we intelligently match attendees for a series of 1-2-1 video calls.

Digital Therapeutics (DTx) products have shown significant benefits in the management of mental health patients, not only for the treatment the primary condition but also as secondary treatment in chronic diseases like cancer and psoriasis. At our meeting on Friday, 5 May, we will focus on why pharma should take DTx solutions in mental health as an opportunity to improve their offerings.
