Aptar Digital Health has entered into a strategic partnership with Enable Injections to develop a digital companion solution for the enFuse® on-body drug delivery system. Under the agreement, Aptar becomes Enable’s preferred digital health partner, with the goal of improving the patient experience and supporting treatment adherence throughout the injection journey.
The planned solution will guide patients and caregivers before, during and after drug administration, offering features such as onboarding and training modules, step-by-step injection support, treatment tracking, symptom monitoring and patient-reported outcomes. By combining these tools, the platform aims to give patients greater confidence and control while helping ensure therapies are used correctly and consistently.
Built on a scalable and flexible architecture, the digital layer will be deployed alongside the enFuse® system and tailored to pharmaceutical partners’ needs. It is designed to support multiple stages of the drug lifecycle, from clinical trials through to commercial use, allowing companies to integrate digital components into their development and launch strategies.
The platform will also capture adherence data and patient-reported insights remotely, storing them securely and making them available through analytics dashboards. These insights are intended to support clinical development, improve launch readiness and provide a clearer understanding of how therapies are used in real-world settings. By combining device-generated data with patient input, the solution aims to enable more informed decision-making for healthcare providers and drugmakers.
The partnership reflects a broader push to enhance outcomes for patients using complex therapies, particularly large-volume biologics that often require long-term adherence. Both companies say integrating drug delivery with digital support tools can help keep patients engaged in their treatment while giving healthcare providers better visibility into each patient’s experience.
