Carrot Fertility has expanded its AI-native metabolic health program, Sprints, to include menopause care, extending support across perimenopause through post-menopause. The company said the initiative is intended to address metabolic health challenges linked to menopause through continuous, personalized guidance across nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management.
Originally launched in 2025, Sprints is powered by Carrot Intelligence, the company’s proprietary AI platform built on what it describes as a large global clinical dataset. The expanded program is designed to provide clinically grounded recommendations tailored to individual symptoms, goals, and daily routines.
The company highlighted growing concerns around menopause education and care access, noting that more than 80% of women report they do not feel adequately informed about menopause or available support options. Carrot also cited data indicating that only 20% of OB-GYNs receive formal menopause training.
“Menopause, and its impact on metabolic health, is a whole-person transition that unfolds largely between doctors' visits, and that's where today's fragmented care falls short,” said Dr. Javine McLaughlin, Chief Clinical Officer at Carrot and a certified menopause provider. “By the time most people seek care, they're already suffering and the focus narrows to treating the most acute symptom, with little time to address the rest.”
The Sprints platform seeks to address these gaps by combining symptom management with ongoing education related to metabolic health changes, including sleep disruption, stress response, mood, and energy levels. According to the company, the program continuously adapts recommendations based on user data and engagement patterns.
Wearable device integration is also a central component of the offering. Carrot said biometric information such as sleep patterns, activity levels, and recovery metrics are incorporated into the platform to provide more actionable guidance and support behavior change.
“Sprints closes that gap with continuous, evidence-based support that pairs symptom management with education on the quieter shifts in metabolic health, including sleep, mood, and daily functioning,” McLaughlin added.
Carrot positioned the expansion as part of its broader lifecycle approach to women’s health, supporting members from pre-pregnancy through menopause. The company also emphasized the workplace implications of menopause-related health challenges, citing research that nearly 80% of individuals report difficulties working during menopause and that one in five have considered leaving the workforce because of symptoms.
Sprints is now available to Carrot’s employer-sponsored health plan members globally.
