Neko Health has secured $700 million in Series C financing to accelerate the expansion of its AI-enabled preventive healthcare platform, including its planned entry into the U.S. market. The Swedish company, cofounded by Spotify founder Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, intends to use the capital to establish operations in the United States, with New York among the first target locations, while continuing to develop its proprietary scanning technology.
The funding round was co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and O.G. Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors General Catalyst, Atomico and Lakestar. Additional investors joined the round, and David Ofer, managing partner of O.G. Venture Partners, will become a member of Neko Health’s board of directors.
Neko Health has developed its technology in-house and offers a 60-minute, radiation-free full-body scan that combines advanced sensors with blood analysis to generate millions of health data points. The assessment evaluates skin health, metabolic health, cardiovascular risk factors, blood abnormalities, body composition and biomarkers associated with pre-diabetes risk. Patients receive their results within minutes, followed immediately by a physician consultation to review findings and discuss recommended next steps.
Commenting on the milestone, Hjalmar Nilsonne said, “This funding is a strong vote of confidence in what we set out to do when we opened our first clinic three years ago: a completely new healthcare experience designed to keep people healthy, catch problems early and help prevent disease before it even starts.”
He added, “With this round, we're taking that mission to the U.S. for the first time, while continuing to invest in the research and technology that make prevention possible at scale. The clearest proof is in our members: the vast majority of our members return after their first scan, and when they do, their health markers move in the right direction.”
The latest financing follows a $260 million Series B round completed in 2025 and a $65 million Series A investment in 2023. The transaction reflects continued investor interest in preventive healthcare and longevity platforms that integrate imaging, biomarker testing and AI-driven analysis to identify health risks before symptoms emerge. Companies operating in the same area include Prenuvo and BodySpec, which also provide advanced screening services designed to support earlier detection and long-term health monitoring.
