Tandem Health has raised $100 million in Series B funding to accelerate the expansion of its clinical AI platform across Europe, bringing its total funding to $160 million. The round was led by the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, with participation from existing investors Kinnevik, Northzone, Amino Collective and Visionaries. The company plans to deepen its presence in existing markets while expanding its clinical and product teams.
Tandem provides an AI medical assistant designed specifically for European healthcare organizations. Its platform includes ambient clinical documentation that converts patient-clinician conversations into structured notes, alongside AI-powered coding, dictation and clinical decision support. The technology is used across medicine, mental health, nursing, social services, physiotherapy and dentistry, with approximately 10,000 care organizations across 14 European markets currently using Tandem's products.
The company plans to use the new investment to evolve beyond individual AI tools toward what it describes as an "AI-native clinic operating system." Rather than requiring healthcare organizations to adopt separate products for documentation, coding and decision support, Tandem aims to integrate these capabilities into a common clinical infrastructure covering more of the patient journey, including preparation before visits and workflows during and after consultations.
Regulatory approval has also become an important part of Tandem's European expansion. Over the past six months, the company has secured EU Medical Device Regulation Class IIa certification for three products: its Clinical Decision Support tool, AI Medical Scribe and Coding Assistant. These certifications allow Tandem to deploy regulated AI capabilities that generate patient-specific clinical support while keeping clinicians responsible for reviewing and approving outputs.
The funding follows Tandem's $50 million Series A last year and its acquisition of Dutch AI medical scribe company Juvoly. With competitors including Nabla, Tortus, Corti and Heidi Health also expanding clinical AI across Europe, Tandem is positioning itself as a broader platform that can consolidate multiple AI-enabled workflows within a single healthcare operating system.
